The Troy High School Trojan Marching Band has qualified for State Marching Band Finals since the events inception in 1980. In addition, the Troy Marching Band has received a Superior rating at this event since 2000. The Trojan Marching Band has performed in the London New Year's Day Parade in 2002, 2006 and 2010. In addition, the band has performed for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush and Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin on their campaign stops to Troy. Finally, the marching band performs at all home football games as well as selected away football games and many community events.

The are three concert bands at Troy High School. In addition to concert performances, the students also participate in large group as well as small group adjudication.

The Troy Junior High and Sixth Grade bands participate in concerts throughout the year as well as adjudicated events in both the large group and small ensemble settings.
